The MembraneSafe technology is derived from (and proven in) EcoNova's larger treatment plants, where the water is approved for reuse back into the household (toilets, laundry) and for unrestricted outside irrigation (hose). Class A+ recycled water is the standard required for commercial applications such as car washing or hard stand area wash down. Some other very well marketed systems are only approved for sub surface discharge of the water, because it is of inconsistent, inferior quality. In cases where you need to sub surface irrigate the water from a NovaClear (e.g. site & soil conditions or council request) the much better water quality helps to keep your irrigation system clean and operational.

Chemical Free Process & No Consumables
SAI Global have tested and certified NovaClear for above ground reuse of the SAFE WATER without chlorination. The MembraneSafe process does not require chlorine to produce water of the highest quality. Because of that NovaClear has received Government approval for above ground irrigation without further disinfection in QLD.
Nonetheless, chlorine is a favourite disinfection agent of many health and plumbing inspectors and even though it migh not be needed, you might end up having to put chlorine in due to individual preferences of decision makers. It is common practice to further disinfect recycled water when stored for longer periods and for reuse back into the household.

It does not get any more biological than this. The MembraneSafe technology ONLY uses the naturally in the household waste water existing bacteria to digest the solids. No injection or start up volume of bacteria, microbes, beetles or worms is needed. This also means that there is no need to replace or feed any of them while you are away. As all living organisms die, there is a chance that the ACTIVE INGREDIENT in other systems can be killed by unforseen circumstances or imballances.
NovaClear only uses the microbes which come in the waste water - therefor there are always enough, never too many, and no need to refurbish, restack, restart, feed or get rid of too much of them.

EcoNova have eliminated many potential points of failure known in conventional systems. The number of moving parts is minimal. The Control Panel is highly integrated and allows testing and analysis without opening the sytem. All components used in a NovaClear are of the highest quality available in today's market. The 12V suction pump only has to take out prestine clear water from the membranes and the irrigation pump sits in water which is of the quality permitted to be used in the household. No limitations regarding household chemicals
All commonly known household chemicals can be used without having an impact on the water quality.
